Karika 36

एते प्रदीपकल्पाः परस्परविलक्षणा गुणविशेषाः।
कृत्स्नं पुरुषस्यार्थं प्रकाश्य बुद्धौ प्रयच्छन्ति॥ ३६॥

Translation by Henry Thomas Colebrooke (1837): These characteristically differing from each other, and variously affected by qualities, present to the intellect the soul's whole purpose, enlightening it as a lamp.
Translation by John Davies (1881): These having different characteristic (specific) differences from each other, and being variously affected by the modes, present the whole (of being) in the 'intellect' (buddhi) for the sake of the soul, enlightening it, having a likeness to a lamp.
Translation by Ganganath Jha (1896): These (the external organs together with Manas and Ahankâra), characteristically differing from one another and being different modifications of Attributes resemble a lamp in action; (and as such) having first enlightened the Spirit's purpose, present it in its entirety to Buddhi.
Translation by Nandalal Sinha (1915): These particular modifications of the Guṇas, which are characteristically different from one another, and which are, therefore, in this matter, comparable to a lamp, present all their respective objects to Buddhi, so that these may be exhibited to Puruṣa.
Translation by Har Dutt Sharma (1933): These (organs which are the) specific modifications of the (three) attributes, (and which are) different from one another, disclose all the objects like a lamp and present them to the intellect for the sake of the Spirit.
Translation by Radhanath Phukan (1960): These (i.e., external organs, the mind and the Ahaṁkāra) are derived from the Guṇas and are component parts of the Guṇas; they are unlike each other. They are (in this respect) comparable to a lamp; they illumine all objects of enjoyment of the Puruṣa and present them to the Buddhi.
Translation by Swami Virupakshananda (1995): These (external organs with the Mind and the I-Principle) which are characteristic-wise different from one another, and are different modifications of the attributes, and which resemble a lamp, illuminating all (their respective objects) present them to the Buddhi for the purpose of the Spirit, (i.e. for their exhibition to the Spirit).
Translation by G. Srinivasan (recent): Spectrum of light radiation transmission process is a complex and mutually interactive guna interactive exchange sequence and it is totally controlled by the Purusha potential at the core and it is the only coherent motivating factor clearly till the end of its transmigration limit.
